We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2024, at the age of 78, John William Furlo of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, born in Saginaw, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Furlo and Kathryn Basner. He is survived by: his wife Holly Furlo; his children, Liisa Bozinovic (Goran), Mark Furlo (Nicole Pendergraph) and Robert Furlo (Dana); his grandchildren, Kesten, Kaya, Noah, Sail, Zoe, Kasey, Kristen, Aiden, Amelia, Sophia, Leila and Eva; his sister Barbara Pohlman (Carter); his stepbrother Tom Basner; his sister-in-law Corliss Irrer (Jim); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Pohlman, Katie Crew (Kyle), Brenna Wissman (Kirby) and Keagan Irrer.

In honor of John, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org), First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw - Food Pantry (https://www.firstchurchsaginaw.org), or an organization supporting children in Ghana, Learn Grow Lead (https://learngrowlead.org).

I was a good student that talked too much and when he caught me talking he would just say my name and point to the door. I had to sit outside of the classroom for a while then he would let me back in. But I was blessed to be one of his students. May God comfort, bless and keep you during this time and the days ahead.
