He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Delzer and Edith Delzer (Daley); and his siblings, Chris and Pamela Delzer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Delzer; his children, Jessica Hove (Chadwick) and Joshua Delzer (Leslie Woodard); his grandsons, Liam Delzer, Logan Woodard and Landon Woodard; and his former wife Kathleen Howen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gene's family.
