It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Kay Bender-Smith of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bender and Dorothy Bender (Holton); her siblings, Delorus "Laurie" Peasall, Reva Jensen, Frank "Buddy" Bender and Dan Bender; her stepfather Art Hiwaleck; and her brother-in-law Richard Gilbertson.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Weyh (Roger) of Baraboo; her grandchildren, Alissa Whitaker (Jon) of Reedsburg and Roger Weyh (Anita) of Reedsburg; her great grandchildren, Parker, Silas, Roger, Jaxson, Blake and Electra; her sisters, Lela Kozlowski, Sylvia Weidling (Blaire) and Sandra Gilbertson; and her stepgrandchildren, Nathan and Ryan Weyh (Robert Hardman).
