He is survived by: his wife Christine "Sue" Hamilton; and his children, Jody Metko (Scott) of Ladysmith, Robin Richard of Ladysmith, Jon Hamilton (Erika) of Caledonia and David Hamilton, Jr. of Ladysmith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
