He is survived by: his children, Darwyn Nelson, Jr. of Ladysmith and Teri Rudesill (Kevin) of Ladysmith; his siblings, Shirley Simonson of Cameron, Elinda Van Wey of Ladysmith and Lenard Nelson (Jessie) of Tony; and his sister-in-law Janet Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
