She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Sero and Bettye Sero Sr. (Mitchell); and her siblings, Robert Sero Sr., Ernie Cross, Loren Sero Jr., Bertha King and Lorna Sero-Ahles.
She is survived by: her husband John Gokee Jr.; her children, Charlotte Sero, Charmaine Ramirez (Joshua) and John Gokee III (Leori Herr); and her grandchildren, Kya of Jonathan, Calla and Kambrea "Cranberry". She is also survived by children and numerous nieces and nephews.
