With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise Hemstead (La Farge, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 15, 2018 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband David Hemstead; her children, Kristina Ralph, Robert Ralph, Justin Hemstead and Corina Hemstead; her grandchildren, Jenner Alexander and Avelynn Ralph; and her siblings, Mary Lathrop, Carol White (Lathrop), David Lathrop and Jackie Lathrop. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to family, Bethany Lutheran Church, or a charity of their choice.

“While I didn't know Louise as long as many, I had the privilege and pleasure to work with her for over 17 years at CROPP. I always knew her to be sincerely concerned about doing her best for our farmer members and for employees. I also came to know that Louise had an encyclopedic knowledge of dairy operations and production methods. I quickly learned that she worked incredibly hard and expected nothing less from everyone else. I came to know her drive was fueled by her intense desire to do what was right for all involved. She cared. Period. She was so incredibly smart and determined to deliver excellence in everything she did and to make sure that everyone knew she cared about them. I know I was continually challenged by her and grateful for her drive to deliver great results for whatever we did. I will miss learning from her and seeing and feeling her spirit pushing us forward.
