He was predeceased by: his parents, Aleda Young (Larson) and Joe Sr. Young; his son Brian Young; his siblings, Robert Young, Jim Young, Anna Nordin and Dolly Lisney; his siblings-in-law, Clarence Nordin, Butch Calloway and LaVerne Lisney; his nephews, Bobbie Young and Rick Calloway; and his close friend Jolene Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hester; his children, Jeanne Kunert (Loren) of De Soto and Kelly Young (Kellie) of Bruce, Wisconsin; and his siblings, John Young (Bonnie), Roger Young (Janice), Mary Calloway and Darlene Kerska (Joe Fortney). He is also survived by five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
