He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bye and Rita Bye; his brothers, Tom Bye and Tracy Bye; and his close friend John Speer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Pam Jensen (Jeff) of Onalaska, Patty Bye of La Crosse, Tim Bye (Linda), Todd Bye and Troy Bye of La Crosse; and his former wife Pat Bye of La Crosse. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
