He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Skemp and Beulah Skemp; his wife Fran Perry; his grandson John Roman Uehling; and his siblings, Katherine Lotzer, Betty Curtis, Tom, Joe and Bill.

He is survived by: his sister Eileen Gass; his children, Tom (Janine), Fran Sauer (Greg), Eileen Francksen (Carl), Bob (Jean), Joan Binder (Bill), Carol Steingraeber (Mark), Katherine Uehling (John), Helen Roop (Kevin), Ted (Jessica) and Mary (Mark Pitsch); and his grandchildren, Dylan (Kim), Meredyth Skemp (Bobby Cupp), Elizabeth, Anneliese (Rob Morrow), Michael, Krissy Sauer, Eric (Crystal), Paul (Stephanie Donahue), Philip (Janelle), Joey Francksen, Carleigh Ramirez (Eston), Camille Ristow, Stephanie, Bobby Skemp, Heidi, Sonia Binder (Joe Nauss), Bob (Caitlin McGuire), Mark (Kelly Faber), Sam, Emilie Steingraeber, Robert (Sara), Teddy Uehling, James (Shilpa Duvoor), Mary (Kam Clary), Erin, Clare, Connor Roop, Cecilia, Thomas Skemp, Henry and Sophie Pitsch. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Working well into his 80s, Bob was honored by the Wisconsin State Bar Association with the 2010 Senior Lawyers Division Leonard L. Loeb Award for exceptional contributions to the community and to the goal of justice for all Wisconsin citizens.
