He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sutherland and Bessie Sutherland (Geddes) of Ann's Hospital; and his half-brother Clair Sutherland. He is survived by: his wife Diane Noyes; his children, James Sutherland of La Crosse, Timothy Sutherland of La Crosse and Kristin Sutherland of Malibu, CA; his sister Phyllis Greeno of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Angela Seitler (Franklin) of Brooklyn, WI, Brant Springer (Liesl) of Milton, WI, Cheri Giesfeldt (Sonny) of Harshaw, WI, Jared Springer (Sara) of St. George, UT, James Sutherland Jr. of La Crosse, Courtney Sutherland (Keith Jones) of Cincinnati, OH, Marissa Sutherland of La Crosse and Nicholas Vescovi (Mec) of Orange County, CA.; his great grandchildren, Emily, Alexander Seitler, Brynn, Tyler Springer, Sebastian, Isaac Springer, Nolan Giesfeldt, Nicholas and Levi Vescovi; his great great grandchild Jackson Goane; his stepgrandchildren, Chris, Lucas Schultz and Isaac Giesfeldt; his nephews, Jason and Lucas Greeno; his daughter Kim Sutherland; his son-in-law Larry Springer; and his brother-in-law Don Greeno.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Fredrickson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel (4239 Mormon Coulee Rd, La Crosse, WI 54601). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
