Though Matthew has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his father Karsten Matthew Hendrickson. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Hendrickson (Johnson); his children, Parker, Layana and Astara Hendrickson; and his sister Laura Smith (Mike). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Journey Lutheran Church (2703 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI 54650). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to help with funeral expenses. Keep Matthew's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.

“Matt was such a kind soul. That man would do anything for anyone, he made other people’s anxiety’s his own, and he loved more than most people know how. Matt wouldn’t have let anyone go with own, even at his own expense. The world lost a really good soul and heaven gained an amazing angel. Learning of Matt’s passing was very hard. He was kind even when someone else wasn’t. Rest easy old friend. I’ll never forget you”
