Dorothy left this world on January 14, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carol Berg, Elnore Gilbertson, Margaret Brye, LeVerne, Roland and Duane Engh; and her siblings-in-law, Donald, Kathryn Johnson, Victor and Doris Peterson.
She is survived by: her son Dr. David Johnson (LeeAnn Podruch); her grandchildren, Emily (Matt Meehan) of Alexandria, VA and Alex (Amy); her daughter Jeanne Gardner (Doug) of La Crescent, MN.; her grandsons, Todd Gardner (Liz Dudley) of Woodbury, MN and Nick Gardner (Rachel) of Apple Valley, MN.; her great grandchildren, Hayden Lei Lani Gardner, Alia Grace Gardner, Margaret "Maggie" Meehan, Baylie Barger, Chelsea Galbreth and Liz; her great great grandchild Stetson Barger; her siblings, Rachel Wrobel, Esther Erlandson (Sherman) and Frederick "Fritz" Engh; and also, Olivia and Will. She is also survived by thirty-seven nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (612 Division St, La Crosse, WI 54601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
