She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Caspersen and Florence Caspersen (Sagen); her husband Donald Smith; and her siblings, Dawn Fregin (Art), Lois Molzahn (Rich), Sandra Jonas, Sharon Preidel and Lloyd Caspersen Jr. (Beverly).
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Heilman; her son-in-law Jeffrey Heilman; her granddaughters, Dani Heilman (Joseph Erickson) and Katie Schwersenska (Chase); her great grandchild Nova Colleen Heilman; and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Jonas of Onalaska and Eugene Preidel of Mesa, AZ.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Black River Beach House (1433 Rose St, La Crosse, WI 54603).
Memorials are requested for the Coulee Region Humane Society or Bethany St. Joseph Care Center.
