He is survived by: his children, Paula Laun (Jonathan) of Kohler, WI, James Kauppila (Sandi) of Beavercreek, OH and Edmund Kauppila of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Sara Cannon (Lee) of Portland, OR, Angela Jersild (Howie) of Neenah, WI, Tim Laun (Natalie) of Ridgewood, Christina Fugate (Craig) of Carmel, IN, Amanda Brinkmeier (Joseph) of Seattle, WA and Kathleen Christians (Stephen) of Chicago, IL; his great grandchildren, Greta Cannon, Henry Cannon, Ethan Parker, Collin Parker, Tara Laun, Anjali Laun, Dylan Fugate, Emily Fugate, Jenna Jersild and Carl Jersild; and his siblings, Phyllis Tarnowski of Calumet, MI, Carol Usitalo of Calumet, MI, Gordon Kauppila of Morrice, MI and Kenneth Kauppila (Ardene) of McHenry, IL. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
