He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fenner and Leona Fenner (TerMaat); his brother-in-law Willard Albrecht; and his niece Diane Kuettel. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Melius; his children, Ginny Fenner (John Eddy), Mary Fitzhugh (Robert) of Sudbury, MA, Susan Erdmann (Keith), Faye Bliese (Andrew) of Woodbury, MN, Daniel Fenner, Sheboygan Falls and Lisa Wells (Kevin) of Excelsior, MN.; his grandchildren, Ashley Kogutkiewicz, Tony Fitzhugh, Sophie Fitzhugh, Allison Shaw, Max Shaw, Savannah Bliese, Meagan Bliese, Lyndsay Fenner, McKenzie Wells and Kayden Wells; his siblings, Jim Fenner (Sharon) and Lucille Albrecht; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Gluck (Richard) and Mike Melius (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Donald's name.
