He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schaetz and Edna Schaetz (Kane); his siblings, Gerald Schaetz, Donald Schaetz (Janice), Daniel Schaetz and Joanne Kluth (William); and his niece Tanya Conrad.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Franzen); his children, Scott Schaetz (Kathy) of Plymouth, Todd Schaetz (Michele) of Town, Lori Kochan (Don) of Cleveland and Kelly Horan (Jim) of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Matthew Schaetz, Molly Ollmann (Matthew), Andy Kochan (Jenn), Katie Small (Andrew), Patrick Kochan, Erin Werner (Kevin), J. T. Schaetz, Adam Horan (Katy), Joey Horan and Libby Horan; his great grandchildren, Bennett Ollmann, Audrey Kochan and Fiona Small of Penelope Werner, R. J; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Schaetz, Doreen Schaetz and David Franzen (Cassy). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
