He was predeceased by: his siblings, David and Vivian Platz. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his sons, Dan Longstaff (Cathy) and Steve Longstaff (Tina); his grandchildren, Nicole Schwenkner (Ryan), Eryn Germino (Kevin), Amy Morrison (Nathan) and Jordan Longstaff; his great grandchild Felicity; and his siblings, Douglas Longstaff (Paulette), Charlotte Gross (Bill) and Terry Klebar (Bob). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
