Sandra Lynn Harper Obituary

Sandra Lynn Harper was born on a bright sunny day on Thursday, July 10, 1952 in Cleveland Ohio to Eugene and Henrietta (Quaiver) Harper and passed onto Glory on October 28, 2016. Sandy, the oldest of 10 children to Bud and Hank was the sunshine of the family. Her strong love and commitment to her family was unshakable and no one was more proud of every accomplishment, marriage, birth of a new child, whether it was a new sibling, or one of her many nieces and nephews than she.

Sandy dedicated her life to her extensive family having helped raise her nieces Anna, Lindsey and nephew Ryan. Sandy was a compassionate soul with a bigger than life heart, who never knew a stranger and if you were her friend, you were a friend for life. Sandy was all giving and all she gave to the ones she loved. Sandy loved Garfield and all his antics.

Her extensive collection of Garfield collectibles filled an entire room. One of her prized possessions is a screen print of Garfield signed by Jim Davis. She loved lilacs and Cardinal birds and in later years when she saw a Cardinal, she felt as though her Mother was saying hello, as she also loved the beautiful red bird.

Sandy had worked for the National Headquarters of the American Legion, Edward Rose and Gaylor Electric. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Henrietta (Quaiver) Harper. Sandy leaves to cherish her memory, sister Kathleen (David) Smith, brothers, David (Mary), Paul (Cherie), Dennis (Theresa), Jeffrey (Julie), Douglas (Nancy), Scott (Stacy), Louis and Gary Harper and Maggie, 😼 her cat.

A private family Mass will be held on Monday November 7th at 10am, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Public visitation will be from 12-2pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250, after Mass, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
