He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertram Zellmer and Ruth Zellmer (Johnson); his former wife Dorothy; and his siblings, Milton, Robert Zellmer, Joyce Jaeger, Carol Raney and Maryann Andel.

He is survived by: his wife Beth Ann (Geertgens); and his brothers, Charles Zellmer (Jean) and Kenneth Zellmer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
