He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his siblings, Arnold, Norman, Leonard, Milo, Julian, Francis Shulz Brattlie, Lorraine Moore and Olga Koberstein.
He is survived by: his parents, Melvin Nelson and Anna Nelson (Wells); and his siblings, Thomas of Madison, Leonette Sprecher of Madison, Dagmar Slinde of Waunakee and Nancy Talbert of McMinnville, Tenn.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
