He was predeceased by: his daughter Rebecca; his son-in-law Robert Pierce; and his siblings, Leon, Dennis, Sylvia Blasel, Rosalie Meyer, Carmella Wocelka, Marlene Baumer, Elizabeth Sackman and Valerie Baumer.
He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Gehrke; his daughters, Jodell Rowland, Connie Klotzbuecher (Randy) and Jeanne Bauer (Bernie); his grandchildren, Tony Klotzbuecher (Kristi), Joseph (Kelly), Michael Rowland, Daniel Bauer (Abby), Lake Mills, David Bauer, Rachael Pierce (Brandon), Caitlin Rowland and Jamie Heise (Joe); his great grandchildren, Claire, Taylor, Briannah, Delaney, Colton and Connor; and his brother-in-law Leonhard Gehrke of Janesville, WI..
