He is survived by: his children, Sue Sawitski, Kathy Peterson, Jeanne Treml (Bud), Green Bay, Tom Busse (Diane), Madison and Sherry Buck (Pat); his grandchildren, Tracy Kollock (Mark), Scott Sawitski (Michele), Brian (Jennifer Ponfil), Mike (Maryann Hilt), David Peterson (Erin Ziemer), Michelle Maxfield (Teague), Trisha Boussari (Jean), Ryan Treml, Jackie Busse-Garcia (Brian), Damon Busse (Amy), Matt Buck (Tracy) and Anjy Vogel (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Russell Kollock, Claire, Tess Sawitski, Molli, Maggie Peterson, Nick, Josh, Sam Peterson, Cadence, Keegan, Braden Maxfield, Jason Boussari, Lucille, Bascom Busse-Garcia, Otto, Frank Busse, Loretta, William and Beverly Buck; and his sisters, Elaine VandenBerg and Darlene Newhouse. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
