He was predeceased by: his brothers, John Huebner, Lawerence Longworth and Wendell Longworth (Sharon); his stepfather Curtis Parfitt; his siblings-in-law, John Hameister and Lois Auer; and also Al Grothe.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Lori Avila (Homero), Kathy Hagen (Anthony) and Paul Huebner (Tammy); his stepchildren, Jesse Bartmann (Deborah) and Joseph Bartmann; his grandchildren, Israel Avila, Alix, Garett, Tristan Hagen, Lance, Ellie and Kyle Huebner; his stepgrandchildren, Tiffany Taylor (Dakota), Hannah Bartmann, Caleb Bartmann and Jacob Beshada; his sister Joyce Huebner; his stepsister Kay Grothe; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Longworth, Carol Longworth, Martin Auer, Judy Hameister, Richard Hameister (Kathy), Robert Schabo (Judy) and Arthur Hameister (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers there will be a memorial fund established in Merlyn's name. " Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12.
