She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Benzinger and Helen Benzinger (Sturm); her husband Donald Gerrits; her granddaughter Cara Hietpas; her siblings, Betty Olson, Lila Stenner, Helen Rosinsky, Frank Benzinger and Oscar Benzinger; and her siblings-in-law, Dorthy Benzinger, Rosalie Benzinger, Leonard Schiesl, Wilfred Olson, Dale Stenner and Herbert Rosinsky.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Whitlock (Mike), Steve Gerrits (Theresa Bures), Mark Gerrits (Nancy) and Paul Gerrits (Brenda); her grandchildren, Eric Hietpas (Stacy Rohloff), Ryan Hietpas (Dannielle), Kayla Hietpas (Dillon Peterson), Ryne Gerrits (Hannah Schiltz), Ashley Bayer (Zeb), Tyler Gerrits and Samantha Wilke (Justin); her stepgrandsons, Bill and Andy Sitter; and her siblings, Fred Benzinger and Barb Schiesl. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
