He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Dietzen and Clara Dietzen (Anderson); his wife Rose Dietzen (Evers); his son-in-law John Plutz; his grandson Shane Hopfensperger; his siblings, Ken Dietzen (Grace), Shirley Better (Emil), Ron Dietzen, Carla Wallace and Marsha Dietzen; and his parents-in-law, Geraldine Theunis (Elmer), Richard Evers, Jerome Evers, Margaret Christiaens (Don), Cecilia, Bertilla and Martha Evers.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Borree (Tom) of Florida, Eunice Plutz of Kaukauna, Joann Hopfensperger (Mike) of Darboy, Mary Gould (Dan) of Texas, Jim Dietzen (Sac) of Prairie, Terry Dietzen (Teri Heenan) of Little Chute and Steve Dietzen of Menasha; his grandchildren, Kimberly Rubin (David), Mark Plutz (Jeanette), Annette Murawski (Brett), Shelly Van Daalwyk (Barry), Barb Hoffman (Luke), Nathan Gould (Elisha), Ryan Gould (Jessica), Luke Dietzen, Whitney Wenham (Luke) and Claire Dietzen; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Max, Grace, Parker, Paige, Lauren, Lindsey, Marie (Erik), Matthew (Allyssa), John, Alden and Kensley; his great great grandchildren, Ryker and Bronson; his parents-in-law, Mary Dietzen, Earl Wallace, Dorothy Evers, Norbert Evers (Helen), Lois Evers, Tom Evers, Sr. (Sue), Celia Evers and Len Evers; and also, Marvin Dietzen and Donna Van Grinsven (Dick). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Joe's name.
