He was predeceased by: his parents, John Deraa and Bertha Van Deraa (Kortz); his siblings, Evangeline Vanevenhoven (Ralph), Marvin Van Deraa, Eleanor Walker (Richard) and Gerald Van Deraa; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Adams, Ernest Kemps (Terese), LaVerne Vander Loop, Lucille Kempen (Marvin) and Charles Green.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Harriet Kemps; his children, Michael Van Deraa (Mary) of Appleton, WI, James Van Deraa (Susan) of Cape Coral, FL, Joseph Van Deraa (Barbara) of Kimberly, WI, Mary Heimmermann (Nick) of Neenah, WI, Jeffrey Van Deraa of Indiana and Kevin Van Deraa of Kimberly, WI; his siblings, Lawrence Van Deraa, Ronald Van Deraa (Beth) and Geraldine Welch; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Van Deraa, Marlene Green, Judy Shaw (Don) and Gerald Vander Loop (Bridget). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
