She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Smarzinski and Margaret Smarzinski (Wippich); her husband Patrick "Pete" Grapengieser; her stepmother Agnes Smarzinski; her father-in-law Henry Grapengieser (Margaret); her brothers, Larry Allard (Elle), Carl Grapengieser (Corrie), Tim Grapengieser, Jean Grapengieser and Gary Stelow; and her close friend Bea Nobbe.
She is survived by: her son Patrick J. Grapengieser (Carly); her grandchildren, PJ, Ben and Leona; her siblings, Margie Grapengieser (Terry), Kathy Stelow, Gerri Sim (George) and Paul Smarzinski; her sister-in-law Sharon Grapengieser; her brother Chuck Grapengieser (Karen); and her nephew David Allard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
