He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Mark "Toast" Joas (Diane Huntley) and Lori Joas (Max Skinner); his brother Joseph Joas (Marilyn); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Wasmer, Donald Schmitz (Romilda), Mary Schmitz, Gerald Schmitz (Anna Mae), Joan Scholz (Gene), Glenroy Schmitz (MarJean), Marvin Schmitz, LeRoy Schmitz (MarJean), Allen Schmitz (Debbie) and Linda Wagner (Alan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
