She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Baseler and Gertrude Baseler (Roesch); her husband David Payne; her brother Neal Baseler; and her brother-in-law Robert Hoover.
She is survived by: her children, Peg Kulp (Bob) of Huntersville, N. C., John Payne (Andrea) of Sheboygan, Patti Burkart (Nathan) of Plymouth and Karen Taylor of Sheboygan; her grandchildren, Lisa Drummond (Tyler), Megan, Heather Burkart, Ariel, Bill and Christine Taylor; her great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Ian Jank and Eli Henderson; her brother Arthur Baseler (Maureen); and her sister-in-law Lois Hoover. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Shirley's name for "Faith Comes By Hearing," an audio bible ministry to the nations.
