Mathes of Kiel, Wisconsin, born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 1, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mathes and Betty Mathes (Wendling). He is survived by: his wife Ann Kandler; his daughters, Rebecca Gottwald (Kaleb) and Rachel Wilkinson (David); his grandchildren, Robert Gottwald, Judah and Rosalie Wilkinson; his siblings, Patricia Zastrow, Joe Mathes (Pam) and Tim Mathes (Cindy); his mother-in-law Imelda Kandler; his siblings-in-law, Jim Kandler (Susan) and Margie Wegand (Joe); and his aunts and uncles, Will Mathes (Lora), Darwin Kanz, Clara Mathes and Elaine Brill (Vern Malchow). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
The family has requested all those attending the visitation to please kindly wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Mike's name.
