He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Garetson and Maxine Garetson (Smith); his brother Gary Garetson; and his sisters-in-law, LeeAnna Garetson and Glenna Garetson.
He is survived by: his wife Karol Garetson of Kiel, WI; his children, Vickie Berg (Todd), Tina Willeford (Mike Jr.) and Chuck Garetson (Dawn); his grandchildren, Riley, Isaac Berg, Stephanie Fromm (Mike), Charley "Sophia" Willeford, Walker and Beau Garetson; his great grandchildren, Aubrie, Michael Jr. and Grant Fromm; and his siblings, Pat Edison (Herbert), Jim Garetson, Karen Mielke (Bob), Nick Garetson and Roxanne Anaker (Bob).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
