He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalhart "Dally" Freis and Judith Freis (Rosenthal); and his sister Vicky. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Winkler; his stepchildren, Jerid Winkler (Patty), Katie Wyrobeck (Steve), Daniel Winkler and Tim Schaefer (Tara); his stepgrandchildren, AJ, Griffin, Hailyana, Urban, Zachary, Payten and Tayler; his sister Tammy Freis; and also Jory Rule.
