He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dedering and Lydia Dedering (Mathes); his parents-in-law, Edgar and Esther Gumm; his son-in-law Richard Vorpahl; his siblings, Donald Dedering (Betty), Mildred Balkwell (Charles) and Shirley Mogenson (Arden); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Gumm (Lorraine), Milton Gumm (Loretta) and Violet Rausch (Conrad).
He is survived by: his wife Marian Gumm; his children, Barbara Vorpahl of Eau Claire and Roger Dedering (Janise) of Kiel; his grandchildren, Scott Vorpahl (Kelly), Steven Vorpahl (Jennifer), Michelle Voland (Eric), Kim Stoeckigt (Corey) and Jason Gordon; and his great grandchildren, Janessa, Daxton Vorpahl, Kira, Zachary Vorpahl, Kaylee, Gavyn Voland, Dominic and Everett Stoeckigt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
