He was loved and cherished by many people including : his fathers, Everett and Jellane; his wife Helen Riesterer; his children, Kaylin, Cyril Schmitz (Kiel), Kim, Fay (Spindler), Kerry, Barb (Hutter), Kert and Christi (Stack); his grandchildren, Melinda (Eric Ausloos), Matthew (Kristy Schmitz), Marland (Sara Schmitz), Nicole (Robert Herda), Erica (Chris Mainwaring), Ryan (Kim Henning), Zachary (Kristi Henning), Leah Henning (Guillermo Cortes), Michelle (Andrew Koch), Rebekah (Cory Henschel), Joshua (Maura Henning), Laura Henning, Kathryn (Devin Boris) and Rachel (Christopher Nadler); his sister Doris Mae (Merlin Ninmer); his sister-in-law Joanne Moran; his stepchildren, David, Cathy Riesterer, Dennis, Jacquie Riesterer, Dean, Nancy Riesterer, Dale, LaGeana Riesterer, Dawn Riesterer, Donna, Dan Verzal and Darrel Riesterer; his former life partner Jellane Rabe; his grandson Christian Henning; and his parents-in-law, Elvera, Milton Voigt, Leora, Herman Thomas, Evelyn Henning, Lorraine, Keith Boardman, Charles, Janelle Boedicker and Dave Moran. He was also cherished by 20 Great Grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in his honor that will be distributed to causes Dad supported.
