She was predeceased by: her parents, Arno Amel and Wilhelmina Amel (Bergien); her husband Marlin Quast; her daughter Pamela Balzer (David); her grandsons, Alex and Brian Quast; and her sister-in-law Diane Hanson (Eugene).
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Quast, Jeff Quast (Linda), Janet Roe (James), Lisa Koenig (Mark) and Amy Christianson (Karl); and her brothers, Dennis "Pat" Amel and Arvid "Ob" Amel (LaVerne). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Elreta's name.
