It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darwin Dale Kanz of Kiel, Wisconsin, born in Bonduel, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Kanz and Harriet Kanz (Barteck); his wife Elvira Mathes; and his siblings, Darlene Kohls and John Kanz.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Kanz (Lisa), David Kanz (Brenda) and Kathy Jones (Tom) of Godfrey, IL; his grandchildren, Jana Chase (Tim) of Truman, MN, Joshua Koren (KaLia), Jessica Usadel (Dylan), Jacob Kanz, Chelsea Hammock (David) of Oak Lawn, IL, Evan Kanz Chicago (Alaina) and Spencer Kanz; his great grandchildren, Norah, Maggie, Aaron, Annabelle, Marta, Benjamin Chase, Connor, Shinji Chang, Gracelyn Koren, Sadie, Jaylie, Kylie Usadel and Ivey Hammock; his siblings, Dennis Kanz (Nedra), Kenneth Kanz (Ruth), Harold Kanz (Helen), Barbara Genske (Gary) and Cheryl Stranberg (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Kanz, Elaine Brill (Vern Malchow), Clara Mathes, Jack Kohls (Jean) and Will (Lora). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
