He is survived by: his mother Carol Gierke (Lehrke); his wife Tammie Bender; his children, Josh Gierke (Krystle), Shana Horst (Matt) and Jeremy Gierke; his grandsons, Hudson Gierke and Cullen Horst; his siblings, Jeff Gierke (Lori), Mark Gierke (Barb), Theresa Lyon (Craig), Tim Gierke and Tom Gierke (Jana); his mother-in-law Rosie Bender-Bub (Henry Bub); and his siblings-in-law, Dan Bender (Mary), Vonda Heiberger (Tom), Heidi Bender and Vida Schneider (Randy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
