He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Kassner and Mary Kassner (Meyer); his significant other Maxine Tegen; his children, Scott (Linda Adler-Kassner), Lori (Kelly Gretz), Mary (Jim Riha), Jeff (Jody Kassner), Joe (Shirley Kassner) and Sandy (Paul Tulachka); his brothers, Don and Richard Kassner; and his parents-in-law, Lee, Judy Tegen, Paul, Cathy Tegen and Pat Tegen. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren and 32 (soon to be 33) great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Holy Rosary School.
