He is survived by: his children, Lori Lutzke (Bill), Randy Hartjes and Jeff Hartjes (Charity); his grandchildren, William, Christopher, Grace and Claire; and his siblings, Norm Hartjes, Nancy Pierce, Nola (Jerry Kusserow) and Christy McCall. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law.
