He was predeceased by: his parents, George Scannell and Viola Scannell (Merjay); his parents-in-law, Louis and Lorinda Bunkelman; his son Robert Louis Scannell (Bobby); and his siblings, Florence Twohig (John), Leo Scannell (Elaine), Mary Twohig (Jim), Margaret Guell (Allen) and Jim Scannell (Pat).
He is survived by: his wife Bernice "Bunny" Bunkelman; his children, Sue McCullough West (Don), June Kocken Oshkosh (Chuck), Pam Lahmann Wauwatosa (Jerry), Jean Homan Waupun (Mark), Kelly Scannell Kewaskum and Jeff Scannell West Bend; his grandchildren, Pat, Heidi, Mitchell, Jenna, Ian, Neda, Keith, Krystal, Hunter and Lily; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Alice, Liam and Ellen; his brother Tom Scannell of Fond; his sisters-in-law, Betty Scannell of Madison and June Twohig of Minnesota; his great-nieces, Kari and Lorri; his friend Don Baierl; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Bunkelman, Marion Bunkelman and Marcella "Sis" Scannell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
