He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard C. Wightman and Janice Jozefowski; and his father-in-law Leo Thull. He is survived by: his wife Petra Thull; his daughter Lannaya; his mother-in-law Ann Thull; his sister-in-law Leona Meyer; his niece Nicole Kuechler (Matt); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tia Kuechler, Laurice Thull and Anastasia Thull; his sister Renee Hackbarth (Michael); his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn and Kylie Hackbarth; his half-brothers, James and Thomas Wightman; and his stepparents, Sherry Wightman and Peter Jozefowski. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family in memory of Rick are appreciated to donate to a charity of the family's choice.
