He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Volm and Helen Volm (Theusch); his wife Dorothy Volm; his son-in-law Donald Mitchell; his granddaughter Kimberly; and his siblings, Edward "Eddie" Volm (Adeline) and Alice Proeber (Alfred).
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Kay Mitchell; his grandchildren, Shannon Mitchell (Michelle), Heather Tennies (Jeff) and Jennifer Flanders (Troy Zehren); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Flanders, Austin Tennies (Kierra), Michaela Mitchell, Maggie Tennies and Frankie Tennies. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
