He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Vorpahl and Minnie Vorpahl; his siblings, Beatrice Fellenz (Benedict), Lois Breitkreutz (Lee), Doris Vorpahl, Karl, Evan Vorpahl, Elizabeth and Ellen Vorpahl; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Berndt and Leonard Redinger; and his father-in-law Donald Kedinger.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jeff Vorpahl (Carol) of Sheboygan Falls, Julie Voigt (Flambeau) of Lac, Sandy Vorpahl of Campbellsport and Kelly Staffin (Jason) of Kewaskum; his grandchildren, Angie Vorpahl, Lisa Gonzales (Tyler), Mandy Vorpahl, Christopher Vorpahl (Kathleen), Stephanie Voigt, Samantha Staffin and Emmett Staffin; his siblings, Ann Redinger and Louis "Joe" Vorpahl (Rachel); his brothers-in-law, David Kedinger and William Kedinger (Colleen); and his mother-in-law Virginia Kedinger. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
