He was predeceased by: his father Roy Peterson Sr.; his wife Linda Tucker; and his siblings, Charles Peterson, Norman Peterson, Evelyn Peterson, Alice Newton, Lucille Surprise and Rita Connahvichnah.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Jo Peterson, Maun-Yan "Monee" Peterson-Sadler (Rubbin E.), Roy E. Peterson III (Mary E. Micik) and Joshua Tucker; his grandchildren, Gilbert "Chachi" Mendez Jr. (Cherie Hill), Jordan Michael Mendez (Dayna Shawano), Lauren Ashlee Mendez, Norberto Alexander Rodriguez, Aiyana Christine Peterson, Aria Tucker, Jenelle Vargas (Beto), Ruby Ann Komanekin and Marjorie Komanekin; and his sisters, Annette Latender and Amber Johnson.
