He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril O'Brien and Helen O'Brien (Brown); his wife Dolores O'Brien; his children, Barbara and Patrick; and his grandson Trent.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kathleen Webster (Eugene Jr.), Michael O'Brien and Diane O'Brien. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
