He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest, Sr. Wayka and Louise "Marie" Wayka (Waupoose); his siblings, Ernest Wayka, Jr., Marvin Wayka, Sr., John Wayka, Myron "Chummy" Wayka, Curtis Wayka Sr., Ronald Wayka, Deborah Wayka, Karen Sackatook, Dorla Boivin, Caroline Caldwell and Daryl James; his son Joseph; and the mother of his children Ona Pyawasit.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Wayka Jr. (Misty), Fawn Pyawasit and Fern Pyawasit (Steve); his grandchildren, R. J. Gabriella, Gage, Gracie, Gloriana, Evelyn, Taliegha, Hayden, Ta-Naya and Lennox; and his siblings, Deneane Tourtillott (Miles), Richard Wayka and Janell Wayka. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
