He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Books and Mary Books (Johnson); his wife Elizabeth Wiginton; and his nephew Paul. He is survived by: his siblings, Renee Books of Mt. Pleasant, Valerie Books of Kenosha and Brian Books of Racine.
