He was predeceased by: his parents, Umberto Chianello and Giuseppina Chianello (Cosentino); his sister Giovannina Delcastegne (Luigi); and his brothers-in-law, Mario DeRango and Luigi Ruffolo.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Ruffolo; his children, Dr. Josephine Berman (David) and Albert Chianello (Anne); his grandchildren, Dr. Benjamin Berman, Ellen Chianello, Frank Chianello, Matthew Berman and Madeline Chianello; his siblings, Constantina Costanzo (Mike), Maria Arinta (Santo) and Rosetta DeRango; and his siblings-in-law, Dora Ruffolo and Leo Ruffolo (Rosa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
