She was predeceased by: her parents, John Campbell and Eva Bredehope (Nesvacil); and her spouse Dean Schumann. She is survived by: her children, Michael Schumann (Vickie) of Reedsburg, Steven Schumann (Deb Wood) of Elroy and Vicki Koenig (Roland) of Elroy; her grandchildren, Kate, Timothy (Megan), Luke (Amanda), Lance (Christa), Nikkole (Tommy), Jennifer (Eugene) and Gregory (Megan); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Mae, Willa, Logan, Lane, Beatrix, Noah, Hunter and Abigail. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials in Ruth's memory can be given to the North American Squirrel Association.
